Community Tasting Notes 8

December 11, 2020 - A sympathetic and sophisticated cab nose. The toasty oak aromas are much less prominent and have integrated nicely over the last five years. And just as then, there's a very drinkable balance with cool fruit, excellent freshness, silky tannins and fine texture. Not too vegetal, in our opinion. But maybe not for the long haul either - another five to seven should do it.

March 14, 2020 - Even though I should’t, I still get surprised by how slowly cab franc ages. About 3 years since previous bottle and this wine still tastes young with mostly primärt aromas. The oak spices has mostly disappeared but there is slightly more green aromas now. Still good, but not better than young. Will keep my remaining bottle for at least 5 years.

July 18, 2017 - Almost a year since previous bottle. Not much has changed since then. Still very good, will probably evolve further during the coming years.

May 21, 2016 - Great on the nose right away, spicy, black currant, a little smoke and vanilla. On the palate it doesn't quite deliver as beautifully, mostly because while the taste goes a lot hand in hand with the scent, it is still a bit stalky green. Reading below, it would seem there is a bit of bottle variation in how green it delivered. It is without a doubt great QPR when bought in France for about 17 euro. With a good food match I am sure this could be 90+, I drank ot mostly on its own.

April 2, 2016 - My previous bottle was good, but still gave a somewhat mute expression. After beeing open for one hour this wine really shines. Pure and silky fruit with good depth. Nice spicy notes. No harshness or green notes. Wonderful wine that drinks lovely today.
