May 9, 2020 - Served pnp. Vivid garnet in color, this wine was slow to open at first but within 45 minutes, decadent aromas of Morello cherry, anise and rose petals came out. The mouth feel was medium bodied with moderate tannins that softened over the 2 hours the bottle was open. The finish brought wonderful cherry elements as well as subtle tar like aromas. 13.5% abv.
Purchased for $44US, this was an outstanding pairing for our meat dishes carried out from a local BYOB. The bottle opened up quickly after opening. Highly recommend to decant first.
