March 23, 2023 - My last bottle, unfortunate to finish on a low note. Presented poorly tonight with muted flavours and just generally seemed well past its best. Cork seemed near immaculate and it's only a few months since I had some excellent bottles so the extra aging is negligible, just bottle variation I guess. Sad.

December 28, 2022 - Consistent with previous bottles - big sweet nose of lychees and some turkish delight with the palate matching but with less sweetness than the nose would suggest.

This bottle held up well, the wine didn't fade quickly like some previous bottles.

December 20, 2022 - A month off; 12/10/2022-1/5/2023 (Dubai Sydney Canberra): Full yellow. Aroma of peach, lychee, nutmeg. Flavours of Turkish delight, peach, toffee apple. Delightfully perfumed and mellow. Off-dry with balancing acidity. Excellent.

October 25, 2022 - Consistent with previous bottle - powerhouse nose of lychee and turkish delight. Momentarily captivating but lacking some acid and so a touch flabby. A brilliant bottle for sharing as the first glass is seductive, but it only goes downhill not up.

Bumped it up a point based on external feedback that made me wonder if I was being harsh. Definitely a crowd pleaser.

October 1, 2022 - On first sniff and sip I was going to rate this about 98. Just wow. Big nose of lychee with hints of spice. Enough residual sugar to put it in the dessert wine space for me, but at the low-sweetness end of dessert wine...a bit sweeter than off-dry but in that space.

After the initial heady rush though, I felt there wasn't a lot of complexity behind it and a bottle of this for one person alone would probably not be very enjoyable. Share a bottle so that everyone only gets one glass and I think people will love it.

September 15, 2015 - Negociants Australia Portfolio Tasting: Rose petals, lychee and papaya. Plenty of spice on the palate, there is a fair bit of sweetness (quite Spatlese-eque) that I think works really well in conjunction with that spice and the acid core. Interesting and quite memorable.
