April 11, 2019 - I was surprised to find that I had not drunk all my 2014s some time ago and was expecting this 5 year old to be somewhat faded. In the event it turned out to have become more civilised rather than faded with its charming rusticity tamed and it's texture more silky but it retained bright cassis tinged fruit, lively minerality and tangy acidity. I wouldn't expect much more mileage from this vintage with its Nomacorc closure. Very good right now.

August 15, 2017 - Lovely wine, lighter bodied but certainly not lacking. Primary grape/berry fruit, violets, Anaheim pepper, and a striking stony minerality. I could drink this all day, will search out more. Over performs for the price.

April 12, 2017 - Following on a Chiroubles, I was very conscious of this wine's greater leanness and it took a moment to adjust to this and to its sharper fruit, tangy acidity and earthy minerals. Delightful once adjustment accomplished with more personality than the Marcillac Les Crestes from Les Vignerons du Vallon. Good+.

Retasted on 4/15/2017, it had lost a little bloom but was still characterful and enjoyable.

March 26, 2017 - Peculiar, perfumed aromas with notes of peppers. Plenty of both tannins and acidity.

October 8, 2016 - Rustic herbal nose. Dry, medium acidity. Vegetable aromas, bell pepper. Balanced. Good, lots of character. Reminds me quite a bit of Cabernet Franc from Loire.
