April 12, 2024 - Raveneau MdT and Chapelot (Chicago, IL): Another Raveneau in that slightly waxier style, but the vintage gives this an extra kick of freshness. Plenty of salinity and minerality here, and very much in line with the 2020 in style, though perhaps there's more palate weight (though not more complexity). Served next to the Chapelot, this was clearly the underdog(!). It just lacked the old-vine extracted quality, but on its own, this would already be brilliant.

February 6, 2024 - Drank alongside the 2014 Butteaux. Popped a few hours before to clear the wax and slow ox. This great from the get go. Loads of saline, oyster shell, mineral, and crisp, fresh, fruit. MdT was more linear and precise than the Butteaux but they were both incredible.

January 26, 2024 - Complex aromatics of smoky mineral, mint, preserved lemon and oyster shell. Rich, intense and layered. Great mouthfeel and power, but light on its feet. The finish is dry and precise and very long.

January 6, 2024 - Disembarking and Liberating Paris once again from Fear & Hypocrisy; 1/4/2024-1/6/2024 (Paris - France): Steely, sharp as a blade. Dry and direct. Shy on the nose smelling like unripened citrus without in a mineral breeze. Individualized customization of this vintage that can age eternally.

Acerado, cortante como una cuchilla. Seco y directo. Tímido en nariz oliendo a cítricos sin madurar en una brisa mineral. Personalización individualizada de esta añada que puede envejecer eternamente.

December 30, 2023 - Beautiful wine. Sea shells, chalk and hints of mountain flowers and honey suckle. Focused and long on the palate. Great wine. On
Could use a little more acidity

November 11, 2023 - This is more evolved compared to the 2014 Butteaux I had just a few weeks ago. There’s brine and honeyed notes on the nose, Asian spices. Good, complex palate. Smokey, honeyed fruits, spices and stones. Coming along nicely and certainly a wine that requires a plate of food next to it.

November 3, 2023 - Lacking the richness / purity of fruit of the 15, but some could argue that this is the better wine of the two in the long run? Not my personal preference, but the wine has tension and vivacity. Both wines not particularly open or giving.

September 23, 2023 - Another bottle showing a restrained, citric profile. This is by no means a poor showing with lots of 2014 chalky minerality and lemon aromas preluding a bright palate of lemon and spice with more of that excellent minerality. But I know this can show so much more — perhaps more time?

September 2, 2023 - Yellow color with green hue. Complex nose of green apple and unripe lemon. Crisp and precise on the palate, with searing acidity and mineral character, displaying the typical Chablis oyster shell character. Extremely long finish. This is a top wine in a top vintage, which can be only eclipsed by their version of Les Clos. Stunning wine.
