August 26, 2023 - Oh my! Deep, rich auburn amber glow. Truly mesmerising colour, like a glorious jewel. Honeysuckle nose and white flowers, melon, a touch of lime. Unctuous and dense, almost oily, but not in the least gloopy. Phenomenally concentrated and generous, but refined and focused. A rapturous, riveting wine that has barely started its long journey to transcendence. Easily WOTN. Killer with blue cheese.

July 8, 2023 - Pours clear, yellow/gold tinge. Lemon and pineapple on the nose. More lemon, sweet pear, possibly the tiniest hint of ginger on the back palate.

18 years old, still many, many years ahead.

May 17, 2023 - Lay & Wheeler Summer tasting: Lovely balance of acidity, sweetness and depth. Although this has nearly 20 years it's still a baby. Lemon, honey, hay, slightly chalky texture and grip on the palate. Great stuff.

August 25, 2022 - honey, lemon, sweet, subtle hay, would not have found chenin without be label. Good acidity, juicy, a little less complex than expected but tasty

July 26, 2020 - Cork was an absolute mess, but that didn’t seem to matter. Very enjoyable. Mainly Sauternes, but hints of Riesling too. Lovely texture. Ample peach flavors. Easy drinking and excellent dark, gold color.
