Ox-blood in color
Oaky nose. Some residual bramble berry. I can't say I like the nose. Something acrid about it.
Tannin is integrated. Everything balanced nicely. Medium plus finish. A well made wine for sure. I guess I was expecting a little more. Two bottles left. I don't think I'll leave them that long.
Dinner by Sura tonight. Just amazing. Wow!!!! -

February 11, 2023 - Dark garnet with ruby accents. Cocoa powder and chocolate chips with a touch of cassis on the delicious nose. Sweet blackberries on the attack that dominates throughout before fading somewhat prematurely in the finish. Strong Milk chocolate notes as well. Extracted a la California.

Anise, tart juicy berries, blackberries, cranberry, blood iron, sour cherry, hint of saline, drank without food, think this is a good wine to show it’s best, but 9 yrs feels about right as the structure complimented the notes, though the acid was a bit unbalanced. Hope the fruit can outlast the acid.
