Community Tasting Notes 5

September 5, 2017 - Slightly smoky, flinty notes precede underripe pineapple, canned pear, gooseberry and grass. The 2014 Château Marjosse Bordeaux Blanc is inexpensive, moderate in weight, expressive in temperament—fleshy tropical and orchard fruit give way to leaner tones of white grapefruit. The oak component serves as more or less a backdrop, and the finish tapers off without fanfare. Sample

December 10, 2016 - Inexpensive Bordeaux: Medium yellow color. Aromas of pineapple and kiwi, lemongrass, chalk and honeycomb. Medium-bodied with a bright and crisp appeal but some slightly creamy texture, too. Lemongrass, white pepper, sea salt and tonic water flavors on top of grapefruit, lemon and pineapple. A slight note of minerals on the finish. Not too deep or complex but very nice and fresh for the money. 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Gris and 5% Muscadelle.

April 18, 2016 - ripe, and very appealing, aromas of passionfruit, lemon and blackcurrant. yet the result is restrained and classy. beautifully balanced structure with fine acidity, yet relatively soft, rich mouthfeel, and a long, not too-dry finish. quite new world in style.

October 20, 2015 - Color pajizo brillante y fina lágrima.

May 1, 2015 - Grapefruit and lemon wax, with a fresh, sweet, lively character that refreshes with its lemon accent. This is the perfect, easy drinking, summer wine. 45% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% Semillon and 10% Muscadelle. 87 Pts
