Community Tasting Notes 7

  • Khon Kaen Likes this wine: 90 points

March 11, 2024 - Decant for 15 minutes. The wine is medium bodied with aromas of tobacco, blackberries and dark fruits. Good taste. Lots of acidity. Young, but drinking well.

  • Brett Pitt Likes this wine: 92 points

July 28, 2022 - Excellent wine, already smooth and accessible. Will further improve over the next 5 years, so give it at least 1 or 2 h in the decanter.

  • ZaphodB Likes this wine: 92 points

November 26, 2020 - Deep red colour, almost opaque, with red brim. Pleasant, developed nose with notes of plums, sous bois, some raw tobacco and just a touch of leather. Mouthfeel is developed, medium bodied, with smooth tannins, good acidity and notes of plums, some cherries, sous bois, some raw tobacco and a touch of leather.

A very classic Saint-Émilion, 13,5 % alcohol, and pure pleasure!

October 9, 2019 - A really good wine. Leather, cedar, light cherry and blueberry. Trying one per year and aging well. Yum.

April 27, 2019 - A blend of 69% Merlot and 31% Cabernet Franc. Glossy, modern nose, red fruit and spicy oak, slightly roasted, good depth; soft and juicy palate, rounded but fresh with red fruit, attractive minerality, good body (13.6% ABV) and light to moderate tannins; plum and a touch of liquorice on the finish, good length. Drinking well already, probably best in the first decade of its life. At restaurant La Confessional, Dinant, Belgium.
