Community Tasting Notes 6

December 30, 2016 - Used what was left from the previous coravin as marinade for Pork Belly in Sous Vide and had enough for a couple glasses. Cork broke in half, but no signs of seepage. This is still drinking beautifully and has a few years left in it. The pepper is still there on the nose but a little more subtle. The taste is still bright as ever with the pepper kicking in high gear. Classic Syrah and a shame that most Rhone fans have no idea that this exists.

February 6, 2016 - Coravin - This is delicious. No signs of age whatsoever. Nose is clean with some pepper notes. Taste is bright red fruits with some mineral flavors and a very long finish. Great mouthfeel.

January 1, 2013 - Wasn't sure if this was going to be passed it's prime. It was not! Lots of pepper on the nose. More subtle than I was expecting. Extremely good Syrah..

February 21, 2011 - Pleasant but not exceptional.

June 8, 2007 - I liked this more than I expected. Nice, bright violet notes give way to a palate that is at once juicy and tarry, lots of good Syrah character, not at all overly sweet like so many Washington Syrah. Really nice effort. Still pretty oaky and in need of a couple of years.
