December 24, 2023 - Purchased back in the day when I’d scarf up promising vintages as soon as released and popped into my GE Profiler 59 bottle fridge. Stored in excellent conditions 58-60 degree average, dark and quiet. Popped the cork on Christmas Eve ‘23. Allowed to breathe a few minutes, but no decanting required. Very little bitterness for a Rhône wine. Smooth, balanced, and wonderful. Drank half the bottle. Stopped and pumped for the night. Christmas Day (afternoon), was gorgeous and lovely dark fruit, not overbearing, what little bitterness that was there disappeared. Dry and wonderful. A very pleasurable wine. Under proper conditions could go more years, but great now.

About an hour in the decanter.
Well, I simply can't imagine a person who wouldn't like this wine! Sweet flavors, spice and acidity are soft and very well blended with flavors. Long juicy finish. It's my first impression, but let's start from the beginning with cold blooded ( I mean red wine color) and highly subjective assessment. Sweet aromas of red cherry, black cherry, plum, but also herbs and spices. Well I can add more and more aromas, but it won't do the justice. The smell is very magnetic, addictive, almost hallucinatory.
Taste - all kinds of black fruits are here. Also - herbs and spices. Long finish.
I could write more, but I have no time. 🙂

September 11, 2023 - Drinking well, neither particularly hot nor pruney for a CDP. Decent nose, full bodied....lingering finish.

July 13, 2022 - Think it's moving out of it's drinking window... still fine now, nothing special.
