April 10, 2023 - Opened up with a fair amount of sediment on the cork with a black stain. The nose of this wine is black fruit, seems to be more on the heated and roasted side. Nose of blackberry, black plums, black olives, soy sauce. And pallet is black fruit dominant, roasted black fruits, roasted nuts, dark baking chocolate, cocoa, soy sauce and even a slight savory note to the mid palate and finish. Black pepper is present, as is a bit of a tannic character. But this one is definitely softening in comparison to where it likely was several years ago. I honestly think this one is right at the top of the hill, maybe approaching secondary and tertiary-landia. If you're sitting on a bunch of these, it is time to start popping them. If you only have a couple, I would definitely pop one to see when you wanted to pop the next one. Have got a feeling this one has five to seven years left. I would say this definitely classifies as traditional Napa style, which was quite different from the 2014 Myriad GIII Cab that was opened alongside this one. However, both went with beef tenderloin insanely well. This one went more with the meat, whereas the G3 really went better with the spices and style of preparation. Can't really go wrong with either one!

May 14, 2016 - Dark ruby purple color but retained ruby on the edge. Black fruit explodes on the nose with a touch of cedar. Well integrated tannis for a young wine and cery well balanced. Kerrin Laz introduced us to this wine in Yountville. Decent price too for a cultish small production napa cab. Well recommended.

April 29, 2016 - Deep ruby purple color but retained ruby coloring on the edge. Black fruit explodes on the nose and with a touch of cedar. Well integrated tannis for a young wine but very well balanced. Introduced to this wine by Kerrin Laz in Yountville. It is a winner and well priced for a cultish napa cab. Well recommended.
