    April 20, 2024 - 80 PN, 10 PN, 10 Chardonnay. Dgt. date 09/2023

Fresh baked sourdough bread, toasted walnuts, white pepper and malt on the nose. Fruit backward, and smells pretty aged for a NV disgourged last year. Medium + intensity of aromas. The palate is more primary, showing some ripe yellow apples and ripe years. The autolytic flavors go to the finish. Overall still driven by the yeast, but with more fruit complimenting the palate than the nose. Medium + intensity of flavors.

Medium + body with medium + acid. Really nice NV, especially if you like some of the flavors of older vintage Champagne.

February 19, 2024 - Nose: Orange peel, peaches, lees

Palate: Sweet pastry, butter, peaches, orange

Decent for the price point. Very quaffable, but quite one-dimmensional. After an hours in the glass, this had the smell of Harribo peaches.

February 6, 2024 - Consistently good, consistently tasty.

  • Cremuel Likes this wine: 89 points

February 3, 2024 - Deep orange yellow. Decent mousse. Nose is orange rind, very sweet brioche, restrained acidity - very different with the Petit Meunier majority blend. Tasting is again very different to 'normal' Champagne, that orange rind brioche flavour, rich and sweetish with an acidity tension. Very nice and different, perhaps a special occasion Champagne when you want to go off piste.
