Dark purple; mature red tree fruit nose, some forest floor; mature fruit (red plum, black cherry), some earthiness; very good mouthfeel; good persistence. Delicious, glad I have a few more. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

  January 5, 2018 - very fresh, bright, compact dark berry nose with slight dusty overlay is attractive. very berryish, lively, sappy flavour with dusty, tannic remains after a clean, fresh acid finish. needs at least 3 years to open up.

  December 21, 2015 - Terrific wine with great upfront berry fruit and a solid structure. Young but full of energy. serious old world wine.

  November 22, 2015 - good dry red, clean with juicy fruit that is perfect for every day meals, i think this pairs well with pasta with a red meat sauce.
