March 15, 2024 - Drinking so wonderfully - tar and char and deeep dark fruit and tannins. But also subtle and elegant, not a fruit bomb or over done by any means, even though it is also big and burly. I had to try it but think this has so many years left in it. Three more left. What a spectacular bottle.

February 4, 2024 - Massive tannins still. Asphalt, campfire wood char, tart blackberry, plum. Excellent wine that would pair well with pizza. Probably another 20 years of life on this one.

February 3, 2024 - Nothing wrong with this but a bit non-descript, good deep red wine but seemingly void of character. I've liked this very much in the past, so maybe this had a problem (but I detected no faults). At Rao's in Hollywood w/Ju

September 13, 2023 - Part of a 2010 Aglianico tasting with my wine group. We had in order, the 2010 Guastaferro Taurasi Primum, the 2010 Feudi di San Gregorio Irpinia Serpico , the 2010 Feudi di San Gregorio Taurasi Piano di Montevergine, and the 2010 Fattoria Galardi Terra di Lavoro. All were opened, but not decanted for at least 45 minutes before pouring. Dark color, similar, but definitely different than the Irpina Serpico we had just before it, from the same producer. None of us could say which we liked better.

September 12, 2023 - Pop n poured then recorked and left on counter and tried next night. Some dark fruit, smoke, tannins. Little rough not much better next night. Nothing special
