January 18, 2021 - Okay, this wine finally came around, in time for my last bottle. Tannins finally mellowing, fruit moving forward. 2 hrs decant, still very young, should improve.

December 8, 2020 - 30 minute decant. Deep ruby. Pipe tobacco, leather anise, whiffs of rosemary, ashy minerality. Deep earthy flavors, chalky, grippy, ripe tannins; good drive. Powerful but not heavy. Hitting it’s stride at the 10 year mark (with plenty of runway left).

May 8, 2020 - This is a big, well structured wine that has some grip. Decant for best results. Delicious and bold. Pair with flavorful food. It’ll be great over next few years at least.
