Community Tasting Notes 12

October 15, 2010 - Drinking really good right now. Tannins are firm, but nicely integrated, and there is great cab fruit coming through now. Probably at it's peak, with another two or three years left.

June 13, 2010 - Perhaps the best Napa Cab I have had for the money in 2010. Beautifully concentrated, full of mouth watering berries and nicely balanced. Intensely fruit forward, this wine had another 3 to 4 years to go, but was drinking perfectly today. Hard to tell the difference between this and the regular Paul Hobbs Cab in 03.

August 22, 2009 - Rich, layered and concentrated. Extremely well balanced and smooth tannins. Nose has hints of vanilla and toasted berry. One of the best wines I have had for the money.

April 2, 2009 - Agree with danseng. For $20 would be awesome. @$40 a little much, but this is a nice everyday drinker. Nice dark red and black fruit profile. Good firm attack with a decent finish. This is good, just as it should be.

March 18, 2009 - Too oakey for my tastes even 6 years after the vintage. I got this on closeout for $23 so it was worth it, but no way at the regular $45 price tag.
