Community Tasting Notes 5

July 24, 2014 - Lovely and still on the money - a bit warm, smooth, a little bit of cedar but lovely texture and good weight/finish. Drink up.

April 27, 2011 - As previous note - nicely integrated, balanced in general, feels very ripe but really quite characteristic & I'm glad we turned off & into this property (it was recommended by one of the lovely ladies at Leoville Barton).

August 22, 2010 - Very nice as always. This has now integrated pretty well and displays the heat of the vintage - rich fruit, slightly over-extracted perhaps, good solid tannin & barrel-fuelled body and the characteristic mild harshness of a Ste Estephe. Highly drinkable for all around the table.

April 1, 2010 - Consistent with previous note. Some heat in there, not supremely powerful or complex but plenty of fruit and a small amount tannin still showing around the edges. Not "brooding" like some 2003s but extremely pleasant drinking.

September 20, 2008 - Very smooth and integrated already. Tasted exactly like it did in the tasting room, which is always nice!. Medium bodied, a little tannic as expected but plenty of red fruit showing on the nose and felt balanced. Am glad I picked some of this up.
