Community Tasting Notes 3

  • Pret-a-boire Likes this wine: 98 points

April 14, 2020 - Aged for 4 to 6 years. No wonder it's often mentioned as the best beer of its kind.

  • Alexander Smith Likes this wine: 95 points

December 22, 2017 - This is the first of four bottles. I plan to open one every 1-2 years. The first point to note is the amount of seditment in the bottle. I do not find this the case with Rochefort 10. This tastes young and has notes of caramel, burnt sugar and mint. There is a bitterness which I do not find in other trapist beers. As of now I would give this an equal score to the Rochefort 10. So beautiful to drink and the bitterness allows a different appreciation to this beer. Wonderful! Interesting to see how this ages

September 6, 2015 - Great beer with great balance. A lot better then the standard trappist beer.
