August 16, 2023 - Haven't had a RF Claret in some time, and just forgot how much I love these, and just got lost in the cellar. PnP at an event with A. Mondavi pouring her 13 Dark Matter Zin, and Aloft Cab, so didn't have time to take notes, especially since this came after a Penfold Quantum and '05 Pape Clement... lol... but it definitely held its own... Solid Wine and I think one of those under the Radar Napa Reds a bit overlooked nowadays with all the other sought after bottles.
Will have to see about picking up some more of these, no signs of age and just a beauty to drink. -

May 18, 2023 - 80% Cab/17% Merlot/3% P.V. Beautiful Bordeaux-style blend at the 11-year mark. Nice up front fruit profile of black cherry, blackberry, and dark plum. Wonderful silky and creamy mid-palate with notes of black licorice, milk chocolate, toasty oak, and hints of spice, tobacco, and earth. Nice acidity, smooth tannins, long finish. Great now but no rush at all.

December 30, 2021 - Requires a bit of a decant (60 minutes at least) to show its true character. Restrained and giving little initiall, opening up with more primary blue and black fruits, spice and some hints of tobacco and leather. In my opinion it is a nice blend of old and new world styles.
