April 1, 2017 - Spice, tobacco, fruit, chocolate, all wrapped up in a delicious package. Great balance and not an over extracted monster. Moving up my list of favorites!

September 10, 2016 - Medium purple. Chocolate, cherry, vanilla, tobacco and cedar. Tannins are balanced and not over the top. Has a bit of a bitter streak on the finish. Tasted great with some creamy casserole. Recommend another year in the cellar to try again.

July 24, 2016 - Served at 56 deg. with smoked meat. In typical Spence fashion, wine has good nose of wet leather and blackberry. Palate was tobacco, sour cherry, and hint of vanilla. I would buy this again. Very good for a 2012. Will be better in 6-12 months.
