  February 22, 2021 - This delicious,very complex offering opened with an amazing array of spices--nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, anise etc--on both nose and palate coming, one supposes, from 80% new french oak. Medium bodied, the wine was rich, smooth and lip smacking. After an hour exposed to the air, the wine tightened up and became more "classic" and Bordeaux-like, although still with the Merlot dominating and the one quarter Cabernet Sauvignon providing a blackcurenty backbone. Later still, deep tones of coffee, black chocolate and vanilla were evident. The wine has 36% Petite Syrah but since I have never had this grape on its own, I cannot say precisely what it brought to the whole, but the result is emminently satisfying. An excellent product now at its peak, but still with a few years' life left.

  July 27, 2018 - This is very good. Might need more time. Luckily I used a corivan so still have half bottle for another day. This is rich and flavorful but tannins need a bit more time to integrate
