February 8, 2021 - Solid Napa Cab still holding up nicely after 16+ years. Tannins have mellowed significantly and with some air, this wine was soft, velvety, and still fruit forward. This wine still has some life with juicy black and red fruits still shining brightly through with some tertiary notes starting to shine through. Black cherry, black currants, plums, and even some raspberry lead the way with notes of sweet tobacco and cigar box on the back end.

Not a blockbuster but surely enjoyable. Likely still has another 7-10 good years ahead of it.

November 23, 2019 - As some others have noted, removing the cork was particularly challenging. Decanted for an hour. Although this wine may be slightly past its prime, it was still nice with softened tannins, medium body, some cherry notes, and finishing with a dose of acid. I would not wait much longer for this vintage.

May 26, 2018 - Decanted 2 hr, because I've experienced how well it can evolve over multiple hours. This bottle not so much. It may may be in a resting phase. It was still very good, but less complexity than what I'm accustomed to expect out it.

April 29, 2018 - Nice deep Napa Cabernet drinking well. More balanced than the last bottle.

April 15, 2018 - Nice cigarbox nose after some air. Showing a lot of dark oak and black pepper with modest black fruit. Perhaps in a confused phase, or just didn't have enough fruit to age well.
