July 1, 2019 - A Few Miscellaneous Wines in Burgundy, Outside of Big Meals and Tastings; 6/27/2019-7/6/2019 (Burgundy): Wonderful richness in fact surprisingly so for the vintage. Plenty of orchard fruit behind enticing floral and spice notes. Good enough weight and length with good+ balance. Enjoy now.

September 8, 2017 - My first Santenots. Pale straw golden color. On the nose intense and striking aromas of char, perhaps flint, pink grapefruit, lemon rind, lemon verbena with hints of fresh thyme. The intensity and complexity is there, this nose is a beauty. On the palate acid reigns supreme, with a dizzying flavor profile completely leaning toward grapefruit, lemon rind, match box and flinty element. Truly represents meursaults uniqueness and quality. Well done with many years left to evolve but also ready now.
