January 3, 2024 - The Holidays With Wine (Home is where the cellar is): In a close race on Christmas Eve, this was the favorite red. It showed a lot about what I love in Barbaresco – very similar to Barolo but a bit more gentle and finessed. This wine exuded class with fine grained subtle tannins, a cherry core, and accents of mint, pine and forest floor, with also a hit of nebbiolo’s tar and rose petal. Got better over time.
