  November 18, 2016 - This wine was dreadful, with no discernible nose or appealing flavor. In fact, after a couple of tastes, I just threw out the contents of the open bottle, as well as throwing away the unopened bottle we have. I do NOT recommend this wine, even for cooking.
  
  If I could rate a wine lower than 50, which is the minimum on the tasting scale, I would give this one would score 0.

  September 16, 2016 - Sweet and fruit with a dry finish. Not bad, but nothing special. Lots of cherry and chocolate. Probably best served alone or maybe with dessert.

  January 22, 2016 - New World nose with scents of crushed blackberries, cherry compote, butter, and bold oak in the form of sugar cookie. Smells like an oaky Cali Cab. Dark blackberry fruit in the mouth. Rich, sweet oak. While usually I don't like oak that is too bold, it works well in this wine. The fruit ends up getting bitter and detracts from the wine. Nevertheless, you can't say this is boring.
