October 16, 2023 - Re-union dinner with the B&W group at Bymark. One of two wines tasted blind. Same as the other “blind” wine, deep garnet, no sign of brick around the rim. Dark red and blue fruit with earth notes. Palate is intense, yet balanced with lingering fine tannins and good balancing acidity. Very enjoyable. At its peak and better than the bottle I had last year.

January 16, 2022 - This was a surprise. Nearly thirteen years since I had this wine and was not sure how it evolved. Drank over three days. Drinkable on the first day; nose of moderately ripe red fruit and wood; but all of it muffled. The wine completely cleaned up and opened up on the second day. Bright red fruit with mineral notes, good mid-palate and a decent finish. A pleasure to drink. The wine kept well to the third day.

May 1, 2009 - Starting to show light brick around the edges; forward nose of red berries and touch of wood and forest floor; not particularly Aussie except the fruit gives hints of ripeness on the palate; could pass for Bordeaux in a hot year; moderate length. Drink up now to 2012. It is past its fruit stage.
