    July 22, 2016 - Finally time to consume this one. Insane, wow what a nose with caramel, barnyard, raw meat, tangy orange marmalade and rhubarb notes. So complex. Crimson brown hue. Silky smooth and very elegant. Long caramel and brown sugar like finish that dissipates fast with air. No decant.

    Incredible that a 78 V can be this fresh and drinkable at this age. I cant imagine the current vintages, given wine making practices of upfront drink-ability lasting this long. Every bottle is an education for me. This 78 is a great example.
