Community Tasting Notes 1

January 10, 2014 - Still lots of acidity and dried fruits driving this wine. A friend once described the bouquet as "the smell of Christmas" - and I couldn't paint a more evocative picture. Still drinking fantastically at 23 years and could live on for a few more yet. Probably hasn't improved at all over the last decade, but holding its own very well. Muddy-red rather than the usual brick-red, and plenty of body.
