January 11, 2013 - This started out a pale reddish-orange color, with a nose of roses, a little bandaid, and cherry; cherry cough drop and roses on the palate. With an hour and a half in a decanter it turned dramatically redder and put on weight, with notes of orange, menthol, and some tar coming through in a mix of primary and secondary flavors, just the way I like it. The improvement on decanting is enough to push this into the low end of the "excellent" range for me.
