April 14, 2017 - Medium bodied, filigree..
Luscious, young, fresh and muscular but not boring!
Plummy and dense, reduced sweet balsamico with beetroot and rhubarb, blackish core, smoke.. - insane minerality, vibrating, lively and fractious..
Dark cherry, too. Not necessarily a foodwine..
If I should pair it..hmm, , maybe with an haute-cuisine beetroot dish! ^^ -

June 19, 2015 - Bright cherry red with violet reflections; cherries and violets on the nose too, touch of green apple, pure and peppery; fresh yet supple, very primary, juicy but with quite grippy but invigorating bitters from the skins, clean and linear flavours, vibrant; good length. A lovely little Mencia, reminiscent of a Cabernet franc, expertly made. At The Old Stamp House restaurant, Ambleside, UK.
