April 21, 2022 - 2022 Judgement of Chevy Chase (R & N's residence): Beautiful red color, decisively lighter color than the other wines of the flight. Expressive nose displaying sweet red fruit, strawberry, strawberry sorbet, cherry soda, tree bark, sweet spices and mineral. Beautifully integrated palate, nicely layered medium concentrated sweet red fruit, good balance and purity, medium acidity and mineral, and a medium to long sweet red fruit driven finish. Two contrasting style of the domestic Pinot, i.e. concentrated black fruit of RAEN vs nicely balanced red fruit of Donum. I prefer slightly Burgundian style of Donum. This is drinking really nicely.

November 20, 2020 - Exceptionally rich and balanced. The best Donum Pinot I have had and one of the best Cali producers. Still very youthful and energetic.

November 6, 2020 - Perhaps the most consistent Pinot producer I own - year after year. Rich and smooth, with cherry and blackberry notes, finishing with sweet spice.

October 2, 2018 - The cork was evenly stained and intact. The color is an intense red and clear. The boquet is cherries and a little earth. On the palate the flavor profile has great length of tart cherries, an even palate presence and a long, persistence flavor. Drinking nicely!

November 25, 2016 - Really delicious, as remembered from tasting. Glad I have another bottle, which I will try not to open until at least 2018.
