  August 31, 2013 - Needed a cab for the garden 'maters spaghetti sauce. Decanted for at least 2 hours. In the glass: Deep inky garnet, tiny bit of browning, thin long legs. On the nose: Wet pavement, minerals, with a swirl it reveals some light black cherry, currants, raspberry, whiff of meat. In the mouth: light/med mouth feel, Thin concentration of sweet/tart red fruit, lacking in the mid palate, no tannins to speak of, some heat pokes through in the light finish. NOT a typical California cab. Its not bad, but its not good either. Meh, its ok for spaghetti sauce, but I would have liked a more meaty cab!

  January 13, 2008 - Surprised at how good this bottle really was! Great QPR. Very soft nose of cherry and dark fruit with a hint of mulled oak; medium dark, very dense color with a spark at the rim; smooth mouth feel - probably the best feature; cherry, black berries, liquorish, spice and oak flavors with very little tannins or acidity. a little heat on the medium length finish. Light on structure and complexity - more like a Merlot than a Cab.
