May 7, 2023 - Showing much better integration than several years ago. A fine and enjoyable Argentine Bordeaux tribute. A little to linear to merit a higher score. Worth checking in on now. Peak seems no more three to five years off.

March 12, 2023 - The structure of this is very Bordeaux like, which makes sense given the Cheval Blanc influence in the wine.

But wow - this 2011 is drinking so well right now! Hard to think it is already 12 years old. I’d argue this still has another decade or longer left of drinking time.

Dark-ish Ruby in the glass, with signs of aging at the edges

Nose of graphite, black fruit & black currant, leather and floral/herb notes

Taste is a gorgeous and mature plum & black fruit medley, vanilla and spices with graphite

Overall, this is a prime example of a 1st growth quality wine in Argentina. Near or at the top of the list of wines from this magnificent country for sure!

September 19, 2022 - Monumental wine. Dark red color. Very complex nose. Very round and harmonious on the palate, great complexity. dark berries, coffee, vanilla. Wonderfully balanced. Long and silky finish. Still young. Easily 10 more years ahead. Super,

April 13, 2022 - Must be peaking. This could hardly be any better. Very long, sleek, full-bodied without being the least bit overwhelming.

February 27, 2021 - Great wine. Dark fruit, vanilla, and forest floor on the nose. Deep flavor of dark fruit, with vanilla, spice, a bit of bitterness, and some pepper. Good complexity. Decent length. 2 hour decant.
