April 29, 2016 - Pours deep ruby. Pungent nose with buttered popcorn and mixed fruit notes. Dry with med + tannins, Med alcohol, med + body. Notes of black pepper, black fruit, vanilla and chocolate. LOTS of New American oak.

April 16, 2016 - Wijnkoperij Okhuysen Annual Tasting (Okhuysen, Haarlem, Netherlands): Very expressive, rich and flavoursome, ripe fruit and American oak, velvety tannins, balances power and freshness really well. Needs a few years or a few hours in the decanter - delicious.
