November 27, 2023 - Terribly disappointed in the showing of this wine, particularly given its price point. First time trying a Galitzine vineyard wine. It was flat and dull - fruit was muted and nothing stood out. We saved half the bottle to finish on night two and I’m hopeful (but not optimistic) that it will have blossomed over the ensuing 24 hours. Perhaps I was misled, expecting the usual QC richness and what I got, instead, was a tightly wound, young Pauillac. As to the second night, I thought perhaps it just needed some air. It didn’t help. The wine wasn’t flawed so I’m unable to explain why I thought so little of it and TNs here are so uniformly favorable. An aberration, I think.

August 27, 2022 - An outstanding wine. Quilceda produces some of the best, balanced wines in my opinion. Double-decanted and consumed over many hours. Just lovely.
