March 8, 2017 - Retailer tasting. The wine was medium ruby in colour and had an interesting nose that was very different from the other Cabs in the tasting, very vegetal and cabbage-driven, with sauerkraut, red cabbage, red fruit and some oak. On the palate the wine showed red and dark fruit, red cabbage and spices, with good acidity, solid quality tannin and average to good length. The medium- to light-bodied wine lacked concentration and I doubt that it will age well, but was reasonably balanced and drank reasonably well.
