November 29, 2019 - Medium ruby with prounced black fruit expressions on the nose. High acidity with medium tannin and high alcohol. Medium plus body surrounding the black cherry, black plum palate punctuated by the spice and vanilla of what I assume to be American oak. The medium to long finish is highlighted by a bit of smoke. Overall, a very good offering.

April 21, 2019 - I have had to revise my original impressions. After a four hour decant red fruit emerged to balance out the grippy tannins and bright acidity. This could still use perhaps five more years in the cellar to soften the attack on the palate.

December 25, 2016 - Amazing! Dark cherries, coffee, and leather. Well balanced, full-bodied, and velvety. What a treat!
