Community Tasting Notes 18

  • Laz4wine Likes this wine: 90 points

April 2, 2020 - Similar to previous btl, healthy decant/filtering needed, hits with a bit more saline and toast on the attack then peppery on the finish, very savory and dark cherry-plum fruited, but pretty chewy and delicious nonetheless. Solid Alex at a fraction of others, well done indeed, definite value re-buy.

January 4, 2020 - Black cherry, Casis aromas, full bodied with flavors of black berries, cherry, vanilla, and oak. With a long pleasant finish. Drinking very nicely right now. Paired very well with ribeye steak. I wish I bought more.

  • Laz4wine Likes this wine: 90 points

December 19, 2019 - Ready to go with varietal correctness, currant berry and dark cherry plus touches of mocha and spice on a smooth if relatively short finish. Solid effort for the category and nice QPR.

  • Alaskawino Likes this wine: 93 points

March 16, 2018 - Dark purple solid rim. Black cherry and cassis with a little spice. Very smooth with great acid acid smooth fine tannins. Developing more complex notes of tobacco and chocolate. PnP and it’s very good.
