December 27, 2019 - Heavy solid sediment, could decant, but I filtered. Light pink/ruby at first, but took on color and weight after 1 hour in the decanter. Quite pleasant, no doubt it was Barbaresco, just a lighter style with the loss of solids. Rose petal, old dry tar, dried cherries, medium weight, acid and tannins remained. Quite enjoyable with osso bucco.
Bottles purchased at auction, in great shape other than some light mold spots on the labels. No seepage. -

October 9, 2016 - This was unbelievably youthful in the glass. The bouquet was a display of dried flowers, minerals, dark spice, dried cherry and hints of leather. On the palate I found an amazing core of zesty acidity that ushered in tart cherry, minerals and inner floral tones. It was still vibrant as it continued to develop in the glass with a zesty finish long finish.. Fantastic.
