  June 6, 2019 - Enjoyed this wine immensely. Fairly dark robe with enchanting scents of plum, menthol, dark fruit, woodsmoke, and berries. Rich and satisfying on the palate but by no means over the top. Good delineation of spicy plum fruit with an intriguing back end salinity. Ready to drink and will probably peak in 1-2 years.

  March 9, 2018 - A blend of merlot, cabernet and petite verdot, this small production red met all of our expectations and then some. Slow oxed for two hours and consumed over the following three. Slightly chilled, the nose began with a meaty, toasted spice component that led to wood, cedar and forest floor elements before revealing the more classic new world flavors of blueberry, boysenberry and plum. Ripe, firm tannins bring balance and a long drinking window to this refined and complex cuvee. An absolutely wonderful wine that competes with offerings twice the price. Wish we had more.
