June 22, 2019 - Richter Raritäten Vol.VII (Magnums only) (Farnsburg): Clear, dark cola color. Dried herbs, osso bucco, tomto puree, amazing length. Stunning

December 16, 2017 - KC. Wonderfully complex old Bordeaux. It's meaty, nutty and of the tobacco, leather variety if that's what one seeks out. Table loved this, but I slightly preferred sensuality of 48 VCC alongside.

April 1, 2017 - Farnsburg Rarities: Out of Magnum: Guiness, Malt, Porcini, umami (tons of it), nearly feels young. This was a stunner!

March 10, 2012 - La Mission Haut Brion; 3/9/2012-3/10/2012 (Burg Staufeneck): Reconditioned bottle. Slightly reduced and oxidized nose. The bottle was not quite right with a musty palate, leather, wet leaves.

August 3, 2006 - Magnum of 1948 La Mission Haut Brion: We had high hopes for this after our experience with the 48 Cheval earlier in the week. While it was good, it didn't match the Cheval. The nose was classic LMHB. There was a bit of funk, which blew off for a while, but it came back to stay after about half an hour. In the mouth, the wine was soft, still fruity, and enjoyable. It was good but not sublime.
