Community Tasting Notes 1

August 6, 2020 - Garnet fading to rosy; rim variation narrower than age would indicate. Medium legs. Dark fruit aromas predominate: blackberry, black currant. Hints of plum, light toast, vanilla. On the palate, these flavors persist but black pepper and eucalyptus are faintly there as well. Medium + body, smooth yet linear texture. Medium plus finish, medium acidity. Impression: reminiscent of one parent grape, Syrah. This adds complexity. At $35 QPR clearly below average, but an interesting splurge and experience. Drink now.
