January 24, 2020 - Dense, dark red color. Dark fruit and spicy aroma, with plums, blackberries, and black pepper notes. Blackberries, pepper, and black cherry flavors. Firm structure, which persists after brief aeration, but nicely balanced to accompany food. Serve with chicken Milanese or other pan-fried fish or chicken dishes.

February 16, 2017 - Beat my expectations. Well structured wine; great acid. Rich clean wine, no oak, straightforward red and dark fruit flavors. Somewhat simple but very quaffable.

January 29, 2017 - Tasty wine even if it's just a bit less powerful than I tend to like. Nose has red and black fruit, sweet spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, plus some licorice and just a bit of savory herb. Palate is very medium with earthy notes. I wish the finish was longer!
