    January 31, 2019 - Deep black-garnet to a mahogany rim.
Intense aromas with stewed fruit, warm spices, smoke, blackcurrant, undergrowth and a dry brackish character. As the wine opens, the fruit feels warmer, and there is a lift of mint.
Plenty of ripe sweet fruit on entry, rich texture yet the wine becomes grippier on the back palate despite the coating of flesh from the fruit. As the wine opens, charcoal creeps in, and the wine feels sinewy - just about hanging on by its fingertips.

April 25, 2018 - Deep garnet to mahogany rim.
Noted development as expected (15 years old) with baked earth, dried earth, undergrowth and dried leaves. Tertiary notes permeate throughout the glass. Seen better days, but the palate offers some richness still, fair concentration with liquorice, forest fruits and undergrowth. Mid to full in body, the wine is arguably way past its peak but fun to try.

June 24, 2013 - I'm affraid it's passed it's peak. Not special on the nose and vegative tones on the palate.

July 1, 2007 - Deep purple in colour this much ignored varietal was better than I expected. The nose showed spice and dark berries. The palate is fresh with more berry fruit concentration, vanilla and light, ripe tannins. Very nice, but not much backbone.
