November 6, 2023 - WOTN against some pretty big competition including 81 Ducru, an Auction ZD and young Bevan. More complexity and acidity than Ducru, still some medium toned old school Napa fruit to go along with clean cigar box.

September 20, 2023 - Poured from 375ml bottle: Fresh and bright, with lots of acidity and plenty of ripe dark fruit that’s still going strong. Silky and fully mature, with an elegant 12.5% alcohol. It would be fun to taste this blind up against a few nice bottles of 1990 left bank Bordeaux.

April 10, 2023 - Despite its age it is showing quite well. Red and dark fruits. Still some acidity balancing the fruit with some leather and earth on the palate. long finale. Might have peaked a couple years ago but should last another couple years. Love these old style cabs from Caii. One left for next year!

February 10, 2018 - Into neck fill. Color showing a little bricking but not much. Lovely red fruits dominate up front but black fruits follow. Sweet Oak. Very smooth. This bottle had several more top years in it.

September 3, 2017 - Bricking but almost not sediment. Lovely layers of black and red fruits. Slight tanginess to the fruit. Sweet Oak and a little bit of dried herbs. 20 second finish. This bottle had an into neck fill and could be consumed several years from now in its still prime drinking window. WS really missed the mark giving this beauty an 85.
