March 5, 2024 - Next to 15 GE. Today a country mile difference pro 15 (see my TN rated 98). Still the 14 is excellent and exquisite. It does need time though and it lacks fruit vis a vis 15 especially but maybe in general. Edge of graphite, orange peel, highly mineral, regal. Just lacking this sexy touch of fruit here vs 15 and that is the magic (missing) touch.

Scored this 95 initially discard it all… came with nuance of earth, tea, Riche ringer just after the initial note… wow and then some. 96-98!

November 26, 2023 - Lässt sich so langsam gut antrinken - tolle Ballance, okey als Solitär, aber grandios zum Essen, da drehte er noch viel mehr auf, harmonischer - toller Kern, mehr Länge und Ausdruckskraft

November 15, 2023 - Opened in Hong Kong. DRC Assortment Tasting. Slow-oxed for a few hours before serving.

This was initially closed and slightly reductive, but with air and patience this really blossomed. A more brooding wine than the Corton/Echezeaux that came before it, and comes across darker on the fruit spectrum than most of the others in the line-up. Vosne spice more apparent here as well, backed by great structure. With this cuvee, we really start getting into serious territory.

There's definite upside here, and I expect this to loosen up and unfurl over the next 5+ years. Very excited to see how and where this goes. However, if you do drink this now, make sure you give it enough air - I'd recommend a double decant at least and you will be rewarded.

Finally, this tasting was consistent with my previous bottle drank at Zarzo about 1.5 years ago. Still a ways to go, hence suggesting leaving it for 5+ years.

October 11, 2023 - Integrated stem aromatics. Balance, sweet palate. Tons of intensity and length. (2439/15308)

June 8, 2023 - Slow oxed for 12 hours before serving. Palate was open with lots of exotic red fruit, blue fruit, spice and tea. The nose was playing a bit of hide and seek all night. It could have benefitted from shorter aeration. A very sexy GE nevertheless.
