January 27, 2024 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (J&S’s): Double blind. Opens with a terrific earthy funk, along with dark fruit, raspberry and something very fresh and bright- grapey, like a barrel sample. Full-bodied, with fine tannin and flavors of black fruit and herbs. Hints of spice and dark fruit linger on the finish. Guessed Bordeaux. (J&T)

May 27, 2020 - The backside of its plateau is just wonderful; must have been quite the regal beast at release. Elegant secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors, featuring soil, and a bowl of red and black berry fruit. Lovely. recommended

November 10, 2015 - Supremely velvety, intense, yet well balanced wine. Powerful, focused and dense, from the deeply balsamic floral aromas, streaked with exotic spice, through the palate of pretty blackcurrant fruit and the meaty, peppery, leathery finish.
