  December 31, 2013 - From 75cl, excellent cork with a few tartrate crystals. Decanted 1 hour. Grenache-like texture, body and 14,5% alc heat. Very sweet, deteriorated into high-alcohol fruit juice about 3 hours after opening. I think I would have loved this as a teenager. There is some pinot-like acidity in there (or acidification); but the fruit is so stewed and diffuse it could be a mongrel blend from just about anywhere hot. 84-85P

  March 21, 2013 - From 75cl, perfect cork. Reminiscent of a big, unsubtle Russian River Valley PN, this has an attractive dark-fruit PN scent. The palate is, however, overwhelmed from start to finish by the whopping 14,5% alc, despite a nice rich texture and strong acidity (in Beaune they add instant sunshine from the sugar packet, this wine seems - perhaps - helped out with just a teeny-weeny bit of instant acidification?) Not bad, a pleasant drink, acceptable value at 18€. Good for another 4-5 years.
