December 31, 2023 - Pretty much identical notes as Ledocq's from Nov 6th.

The previous bottles I have had were in a sweet spot and with good potential for a long life in the cellar. Not this one.

Fantastic tertiary notes but the structure is a bit out of balance. Bottle variation, which is a known phenomenon with this producer.

December 17, 2023 - Shockingly even better than the last bottle in 2020. Resolved tannin and gorgeous tertiary flavors with just a little fruit for added interest. It ain't your standard Margaux but when your bottle is on you get something quite unique. Outstanding.

November 6, 2023 - Not nearly as good as my last one. I don't think it was flawed so much as just developed into something more astringent and weird. The nose is right on the edge - it's in line with well-aged classified growths - but then the taste just doesn't measure up. My second BAMA and a welcoming into its legendary world of bottle variation.

September 23, 2023 - Deep ruby-garnet color with some bricking on the rim. Blackberry, rich cranberry sauce, and some typical old leather mature claret aromas. Medium-light-to-medium body, medium acid, fine grained tannins. Bit thin on the palate, with a savory soy sauce which dominated the background cherry cordial. Austere.

August 5, 2023 - Nothing like the 98 I enjoyed so much. Think this bottle is either heat damaged or over the hill.
