  November 18, 2021 - After reading a previous tasting note, I was worried I had entirely missed the window on this one, but on the contrary, I still found much to enjoy here. If I had more bottles, for sure I would drink them soon, but this is my last. After about twenty minutes of air, it started to flesh out and level off some initial gangliness. Mature aromas of fig and baked strawberry, red fruit on the palate, some anise along with suede, cocoa cherries and a rich finish. An appetizer of pork rillettes helped it along, a curried vegetable stew did not shut it down, and it remained a pleasure after the meal.

  December 22, 2007 - Enjoyed around Xmas--stately structure, not quite Bdx-like. Still v. Italian, firm tannins, slightly bitter, appetizing finish.
